The Boston Globe has begun a very cool little daily online publication, wherein a single article is chosen each day to be accompanied by several very high-resolution photos.

It’s a nice departure from the stupidly small images that have typically accompanied online news articles. We’ve moved into an age of news unrestrained by the area of a newspaper page, and it’s nice that one of the major players has taken notice, and advantage.

My personal favorite: A couple reacts immediately after an earthquake struck during their wedding photo shoot at a deserted catholic seminary in Pengzhou in southwest China’s Sichuan province Monday May 12, 2008.

Some of the pictures are incredible, I love the shots of the volcano during the lightning storm.
